Peace means the absence of physical and structural violence inflicted by : it is more than the of war, although war is the ultimate form of non-peace. Peace is not a static situation that can be created once and for all. Working for peace is a process in which parts of what we are hoping for are sometimes reached but not possessed and controlled.

Peace is more than the absence of war, it is living together with our differences – of sex, , language, religion or culture – while furthering universal respect for justice and human on which such coexistence depends. Therefore, peace should never be taken for granted. It is an on-going process, a long-term which requires constant engineering, vigilance and active by all individuals. It is a choice to be made on each situation, an everyday life decision.
