People who live in different parts of the world do not have the same opportunities. Inequalities between countries and regions are vast: economic in terms of wealth and money, political power in global institutions.
How many countries one can visit without needing a visa, health and life expectancy, security from the effects of climate change, but even on a more abstract level: who is at the centre of our world maps?
Many of these inequalities stem from a world order created through 400 years of colonization. To stand up for peace means to stand up for a world in which countries and regions have equal opportunities. It means to stand up for a world where we have global justice and equality.
