It examines each countries direct involvement in wars and violent conflicts, the weapons it produces and exports, the accessibility for normal citizens to purchase weapons, and the amount of money the military receives from the state.

Peace is not easily measured because it has a lot to go with, not being at war does not qualify peace, a example is my country Zambia its never at war, we hold democratic elections and there is proper transition of power but people are not happy many can’t even afford three meals a day
I need someone answers to my questions. I live in Afghanistan. Who will be responsible for the Afghanistan war during the last four decades? Right now, we burn in the fire of war, and we can not find a way for ourselves. Every day insurgent groups take our life. what should we do to be one of the peaceful countries in the World?
I am quite surprised that my nation is standing at 71 GPI 2021. Looking at the four measuring parameters i.e. direct involvement in wars; weapons production & export; citizens accessibility to weapons; and military budget line, i was of the view that developing countries with peaceful cultures would be in the very high to high state of peace category. Also, how has Ethiopian which has been and continues to be at war, managed to score higher than Cameroon, a nation that has been and is experiencing relative peace. So, apart from the four what other criteria are used to measure the peacefulness of a nation?
