Yoga originated in ancient India and is a group of physical, mental, and spiritual practices or disciplines. The word ‘Yoga’ is derived from the Sanskrit root ‘Yuj’, meaning ‘to join’ or ‘to yoke’ or ‘to unite’. Yoga is a harmony of mind, spirit and body.

Nowadays more and more people are turning to yoga as a method for exploring and improving our inner lives and thus experiencing inner peace. Yoga offers a vast diversity of practices such as physical, breathing, meditative, cleansing practices as well as service, mantras and inspiration for living a more spiritual life. You can try some of the aspects of yoga and check for yourself what fits and works the best for you. 

Surya Namaskara

Something you can test and implement in your daily routine is Surya Namaskara which is the sun salutation. It consists of a series of 12 postures that you can combine with breathing, even mantra chanting. Try it out and find the positive effects Surya Namaskar can bring to your physical, mental and emotional health.

This seems like excellent advice and it could bring us closer to the state in which we need to be in order to at least start off our day optimistically.
